FOUNDER INSTITUTE CO-HOSTS THIRD #ZIMVEST FEMALE FOUNDER PITCH COMPETITION WITH PARAZIM
FOUNDER INSTITUTE’S FEMALE FOUNDER INITIATIVE AND PARAZIM TEAM UP TO HELP WOMEN FOUNDERS LAUNCH AND GROW SUCCESSFUL COMPANIES IN 2018
Founder Institute and Parazim co-hosted a third #Zimvest Female Founder Pitch Competition to provide 7 woman-led companies, across a wide variety of sectors, an opportunity to pitch to some of Silicon Valley’s leading women investors. Additionally, The proceeds from the May 24th event benefited Girls Garage, a one-of-a-kind design and building program and dedicated workspace for girls ages 9-17.
After listening to 7 astounding three-minute pitches, the judges concluded that Debaleena Das Founder of STEM-Away, a platform for helping students discover the potential & beauty of STEM, the joy of problem-solving, and a STEM career that resonates with them, won the third #Zimvest Pitch Competition.
As the winner of the competition, Dabaleena won the following:
- Fellowship to the Founder Institute Silicon Valley
- 1 hour consultation with Maxine Kozler Koven, LDR Ventures
- 1 complimentary professional headshot session at Ellie Honl Photography.
- A behavioral assessment plus a 60 minute session with Wendy Ryan, San Jose Leadership Coach
