Founder Institute and The Paradigm Switch Team Up to Help Military Spouses start companies in 2018

Fellowships Will Be Available in U.S. Cities to Military Spouse Applicants of Founder Institute’s Idea-Stage Accelerator Program

 

The Founder Institute (http://fi.co), the world’s premier startup launch program, and The Paradigm Switch (http://theparadigmswitch.org), a new non-profit that is providing access and innovative pathways to employment for veterans and military spouses across the nation, are announcing a national partnership aimed at providing military spouses the opportunity to create enduring companies in 2018. As part of this partnership, the two organizations are announcing a national fellowship for military spouses who apply to the Founder Institute’s U.S. programs. Any military or veteran spouse who is interested in starting a company can apply for the fellowship for free at http://fi.co/paradigmswitch.

Founder Institute and The Paradigm Switch will collaborate to support the entrepreneurial needs of 10 military spouses in the Founder Institute’s 22+ U.S. cities. In addition to providing opportunities for military spouses through Founder Institute fellowships, a goal of this partnership is to grow the Diversity and Inclusion initiatives started by Founder Institute in 2016 to represent more underserved entrepreneurial communities.

The Paradigm Switch is a nonprofit located in San Francisco, California. Our Founder and CEO, Justine Evirs is a Navy Veteran and Military Spouse who has been nationally recognized for her perspective on military higher education. After participating in Stanford Ignite and becoming the Bunker Labs, Bay Area Executive Director she has successfully leverage her higher education & new found entrepreneurial knowledge and experience to better serve military communities across the nation. The Paradigm Switch is working to fill gaps of service that currently exist in the military transition process. It’s important for veterans and military spouses to have access to non-traditional education and employment options that may better suit their needs and open doors to leading industries. Now more than ever our country needs to realize the value veterans and military spouses bring to the table.
